Information Collected via the Platform
The Platform is designed to help advertisers, publishers and their technology partners (our “Clients") maintain state on computers and mobile devices. The Platform assigns a unique pseudonymous identifier associated with an Internet browser (our “Browser ID”) whenever our technology encounters a web browser on a computer or mobile device. We store this Browser ID in the cache of the browser being used by a particular computer or device.
The Browser ID does not help us identify you individually. It helps us identify your browser so that when our systems encounter that browser again, our Clients will be able to target advertising and content to your interests and to better understand the effectiveness of their digital advertising campaigns. In addition to creating the Browser ID, our Platform collects non-personally identifiable information, including IP address, mobile advertising identifier (e.g., IDFA or Android ad ID), the time/date a computer or device was seen, and the domain name of the website on which the Browser ID was placed or seen.
Our Platform also creates a second pseudonymous ID, the Parrable device ID (our “Device ID), which is stored along with the Browser ID in the cache of the browser. Both the Browser ID and the Device ID are encrypted and re-encrypted every time our systems are able to see your device (e.g., when you visit a website where our technology is enabled) to help ensure that no one has access to our identifiers without approval from Parrable. Parrable does not transfer data about your computer or device except the Browser ID, the Device ID, the mobile advertising identifier and one or more opt-out flags for users that have expressed an opt-out choice. If you’d like to exercise your opt-out choice, you may do so through the information provided below.
Our Platform may use HTTP cookies to store the Browser ID and Device ID. Cookies are small text files placed onto your browser. For more information about cookies and web beacons, please visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org/cookies.
How Parrable utilizes Information Collected via the Platform
Parrable only uses the information collected via the Platform to generate aggregate statistics and to operate and optimize the Platform. Parrable does not create or utilize profiles for ad targeting or content customization.
